  • Procedure Overview

    • During the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, about 75% of the stomach is removed leaving a narrow gastric “tube” or “sleeve”.
    • No intestines are removed or bypassed during the sleeve gastrectomy.
    • The procedure permanently reduces the size of the stomach, although there could be some dilatation of the stomach later on in life.
    • With a smaller stomach, one will feel full a lot quicker.
